One of the most significant series in my work, Cities & Norms depicts the energy of the city. Many ask me what city inspired or is represented in this work. A question I can't answer.
In association with my artistic and academic pursuits, many other areas of discipline have informed my practice. For instance, my athletic training as a wrestler has taken my art to new levels of application. Whereas, my background in construction has allowed me the opportunity to work on and in some of the greatest building in Chicago. The building process and its result has forever been an inspiration to me. Whether it be the skyscrapers of America, or the cathedrals of Europe, or the homes of my youth, the building has forever held a significant position in my conceptual development.
